    i mean really? theres no complaints when it comes to teams with 1,2, or maybe no black people.. just because the gym has a lot of blacks doesnt mean that they arent welcome to other races it just means that a lot of black people are in that area so i think you should stop calling it strange just because youre not used to seeing something a little different.. pure ignorance..

    ellenwood has had white people on their squads plenty of times. Lithonia is a mostly black town though. there is no segregation and their coaches are so nice!

    okay the debate is dumb, Ellenwood is in a black neighborhood so of course the gym would have all blacks. Its insane u guys bring up diversity and segregation because we have had plenty of calls from other races that want to join the gym. We cant control who comes to the gym, we have to use what we have. . We are brother gyms to Infinty Titans and Force Elite and they both are diversed so its not really about color here.

    segregated? thats not the case. it just so happens that no one is white on the squad. its almost as if ur implying that they intentionally dont allow for diversity to happen.

    bottom line, majority of these girls live within the same areas and go to school together. an area which is prodominately african american. Ellenwood is one of few that are all black squads.

    Now tell me how many all white squads are their. do you find those gyms to be strange too?

    Ignorance? wait why? I’m not angry…. like all white teams should have more diversity as well, like i dont know any gym in Ma that is just all white teams and thats where i’m from, GA heat, rays, Ga all stars, all diverse.. i just think its strange.. still a good team. It would never be like that though like where i am from because diversity is celebrated, and no one is segregated. 🙂

    Ignorance. Ellenwood just so happens to be a mostly african american suburb. the majority of all star teams are mostly white. why is it crazy that you have several squads of talented kids be comprised of african american kids?!? if whites tried out, i’m almost certain they would be welcomed with open arms. just so happens that there arent any. big deal. but do your research…tell me how many all white squads their are to all african american.

    ohhh…interesting.. Atleast stingrays and Georgia All Stars have white and black people.. where your gym is from though must be a prominant all african american area… still a good team though =)

    Are they all blacks? I find that crazy haha no diversity…. it’s not like that up here in the northeast, blacks and whites cheer together.

    I.T. got a bronze medal at worlds with their “sloppy” routine and Ellenwood didn’t even make it to worlds with their “clean” routine. Plus it’s easier look clean with 20 people rather than 36 like I.T had, but Ellenwood is one of my favorite gyms and I hope they do great this year!
