Give your answer to this question below!
I think they’re actually in mid-season right now, but it depends on what level team you want to join. And even if you join a higher level team, you don’t necessarily have to have all the tumbling that everyone has.
ok level 1 is cartwheel/backwalkover
level 2 it depends either nothing or bhs or roundoff bhs
level 3 tuck
level 4 layout
level 5 full/double
mostt of them are half way through their season but you can call to see if there are any openings… there usually are
The guidelines are very strict for all star cheerleading levels.
~On level 1, you can do cartwheels, round-offs, forward rolls, front and back walk overs.
~On Level 2, you can do 1 standing backhand spring or round off multiple back handsprings.
~On level 3, you can do multiple standing backhand springs, and round off back hand spring tuck combinations.
~On level 4, you can do standing tucks, and round off back handspring layouts combinations.
All of the levels build on each other so anything you can do in level 1 you can do on 2 and so on.
Hope this helps:)
I am a competitive cheerleader nad the term “all star” just means they aren’t cheering for a school or for a team.
there are different levels,
Minis-cartwheel,round-off,backwalkover
Junior 2- no tumbling, or back handspring
Junior 3 or 4 ( ever team is different, my team is J4) – back tuck
senior 2- layout
senior 3 – not sure,
senior 4 – not sure
senior 5 – full
you don’t have to have tumbling accomplished to try out, and you never get to choose which team like which level you get to try out for, you just show them what you’ve got and they place you.
So all the answers given are right ….depending on your age you can also look at rec teams whereby you dont have to worry about the leveling system. All stars are 1/2 way through the season but you can go and work out with many gyms and programs. Meet he coaches and team members and in a lot of cases, you can possibly help out if needed. Gyms really will never turn anyone away. all gyms need bodies and there all a lot of teams to choose from to place you on:) good luck in your search and tumble safe!
