What should I expect for cheerleading tryouts?

Question by hello sunshinee. <3: What should I expect for cheerleading tryouts?
My cheerleading tryouts are in a few short weeks and I’m not too sure of what to expect. One thing I do know is that you have to run a mile within nine minutes.
If you were wondering, I have eight years of experience with the Reconcile.

For school tryouts they usually teach you a cheer and a dance. They sometimes ask you to make up your own and bring them in. They’ll ask you to perform tumbling skills and jumps as well. Some schools ask you to make a spirit poster, or they’ll interview you. (If you want to read some sample questions, you can find some here:

For clinic just be willing to try anything and work with anyone. For tryouts, wear school colors, minimal make-up and a nice clean ponytail in a bow. If you’ve done competitive cheer, you already know about smiling and acting like nothing went wrong if you make a mistake.

    Good luck! :^D

Well since school is about to start I am practicing cheer
I’m not going to be mean.

I’ve never heard of having to run a mile but its not bad you will be tired but 9 min is a long time to run a mile it usually takes about 5 if your NOT trying: Haha yea I suck at track(:

But At my tryouts we had judges and I froze up for 5 mins and was looking around all weird trying to remeber words of our cheer. But I still made it.

If you have had 8 years you have a AWESOME chance I’ve only had 2 years of cheer and 2 of dance

But be confident; keep smiling; if you mess up keep going; if they let you start over try even harder but think about something different like using both sides of ur brain the creative side for cheer then think about math and people are usually better when they are half distracted. lol true tho.
