Question by Shopaholick: What should i do if im the only freshman varsity cheerleader?
Im the only freshman who made varsity and the rest are juniors and seniors. They are really nice and funny (except for this one chick but oh well) but its just kinda akward. Im not real close with them but i wanna bond. Especially since we have camp coming up and well be spending 4 nights with each other. What should i do???

Maybe you could pick out the group that looks the most like who you might want to hang out with and go ask them for help with your routine. You being the youngest, they would prob love to help show you the ropes. Good luck.
I was on varsity cheer my freshman year and I was a little scared at first. To begin with, you can just talk to them about cheer and school and then slowly, you’ll be able to talk about other things and you’ll become friends. Camp is the best time to bond! You spend so much time with the team that it’s unavoidable that you will make a few friends. As the year progresses, I’m sure you’ll bond with your team. It happens naturally. Don’t worry. You’re going to have a great time and make good friends.
congrats on making varsity your freshman year! you must be really good! ya i can understand that it can be awkward! but just try to talk to them they are probably all very nice! when i was a freshman i actually liked the older girls better then the 1s in my grade because they were nicer and acted more mature! most of the time during camp is when you bond the most,.. so that should help a lot! Good luck im sure you will become close with them by the end of camp! and remember to have fun! 🙂
