What do you think of women whose dream is to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader?

Question by the casual fan rises: What do you think of women whose dream is to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader?
or at least that’s why they say their dream is.

Feel free to replace the Dallas Cowboys with any other NFL or NBA team.

Are you just a little disappointed that they’re not aiming any higher? Really, that’s what they want out of life? To be a dancer while they’re in their 30s? Have they ever thought of what they’re going to do when they’re in their 40s and these teams no longer want them because they aren’t hot enough any more to give the audience a woody?

Why should they aim higher if it makes them happy they should go for it.
I mean look at the little boy who had a love for vaccumes. I mean really …

But over all dreams and passion have nothing to do with social status.

I don’t have an opinion about them one way or another. At least they have some kind of aspiration to work I guess. And from looking at your questions I think you desperately want one.

I don’t mind, someone has o be the eye candy. It doesn’t bother me as long as she has the right credentials. Big, perky credentials.

No, actually, I think a woman who truly wants to do this should go ahead. I wish men could, too.

One of my friends’ daughters was a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. She also had a degree in teaching and after she was done with the cheerleading thing she went back to that.

Everyone has different things they want to get out of life. A Dallas Cowboys cheerleader gets to do a very physical and demanding job in the limelight. While it wasn’t something I ever aspired to do (and wouldn’t have been good at), I can see someone really enjoying that.

While lots of men may be objectifying the women who do that, they objectify plenty of other women in every walk of life.

Other jobs have a short life as well, mostly jobs requiring a high level of physical fitness.

They aim too low. The Raiders and Eagles cheerleaders have better outfits, but Dallas is probably a better place to live than Oakland or Philly.

Trista Rehn from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette was a Miami Heat cheerleader, so I suppose she saw it as resume fodder to impress some Mr. Big out there.
