What are some basic cheerleading moves for a beginner?

Question by Suixela: What are some basic cheerleading moves for a beginner?
I have never tried cheerleading before and I am not a flexible person. Do you guys have any basic cheerleading moves that don’t include flips? Also, it would be great if you could tell me some moves to improve my flexibility. THANX!!!

mY FRIEND made this really cool website about cheerleading. It has everyhting, you should check it out. And if you have any other questions theres this section on her site tht you can ask her a question or something and she’ll explain it to u, or she’ll post a vid on her site just to show you that particular skiilll. Check it out, but don’t forget she’s still building it, i think she’s missing two sections so if ur interested in em check back every few days n they’ll b there .

stretch alot!!! you will need to know basic jumps including toetouch, pike, herkey, and hurdler (aka front herkey)
google basic arm motions bc you need to be tight and have your wrists facing the right way during cheers. it will be important to know motions including high v, low v, t, broken t, diagonals, right and left punch, and variations of each.
also just watch a few cheerleading dances on youtube of people from your age level. it will help you figure out what you will be doing in dances

Like the others say, you need to stretch way more.

Some motions for beginners are as follows:

    High V
    Low V
    T
    Broken T
    Left Diagnol
    Right Diagnol
    Buckets
    Candle Sticks
    Right K
    Left K

    ect….

Look it up online, it will help.

Search these motions and look at picture and then just mirror the movements.

After you master them, and know them by heart,

    you can make up routines.

Yoga is a great way to stretch.

Wii Fit Plus will help you get into shape.

    Hope I helped! 🙂
