Q&A: What do you have to do to become a cheerleader in middle school?

Question by Figskater: What do you have to do to become a cheerleader in middle school?
I can do a bridge, cartwheel, round off, herkies, and a toe touch. I don’t know how to dance but I can learn very fast. Do you think I can make it?
Also I can do splits.

Most defiantly! Cheer leading squads in middle school aren’t as harsh as High School or College. Our cheer leading squad can barley do a toe-touch, so you really have an edge over other girls.
Since Middle School really doesn’t have a foot ball team like the High School, you’re more likely just going to be cheer leading for basketball games.
And since you’re able to do a lot of things (I didn’t know what to call them), you might be one of the more important people on your squad. (I’ve gone to basketball games where only two or three girls were in the middle doing cheer leading stuff and the other girls were standing around spinning or something.)
I’m sure you’ll get a good spot. Good luck! You’ll do great! xx

My school did have it in middle school and we had to sign up for it and then try outs where you got to do a cheer by yourself and thay vote on you!
