Question by Kev1516: How can you become a cheerleader in a month?
My mom said that she wont pay to take me to tumbling and stretching classes, and to make our high school cheerleading squad youy have to be flexible, and have your back tuck. I already have my flip flop.

So really the only thing that you can do is to go to a gym and practice. If you have a trampoline then you can practice if you have a back tuck. Don’t try anything that you know you can’t do because you could end up hurting yourself or if you get it then you could get used to doing it the wrong way and it would be harder to get it the right way. You can do drop in tumbling classes that are pretty cheap. I do it twice a week sometimes three times. You could also sometimes pay for yourself or go to a open gym and get some personal help their. HOPE THIS HELPS!!! 🙂 GOOD LUCK! 🙂

you can stretch yourself at home, I find the best time i while watching tv. And you need to be flexible in al areas, not just legs which some people believe.
You have to push your self in order to become more flexible, but do not push yourself to hard or you will tear or pull a ligament. Push yourself to when your are slightly uncomfortable, not until you hurt yourself. If you get hurt it will be even harder to stretch the next time because of sore muscles.

Gymnastics is harder to learn on your own. I would suggest that you look for cheerleading or gymnastics clinics or camps which will help you with your gymnastics and flexibility. And are cheaper than registering for a course. If there is a cheer gym near you, this would be a good place to look to these things.

Also maybe you know someone or can contact some members who are already on the team, and ask them to help you. This way you know more people on the team, you are getting relevant help, and you can get the inside scoop on tryouts, and the team 😉

    Good luck !

If you have your standing back handspring, you will probably still be accepted to the team, as the move that you learn after a back handspring is a back tuck, which is SO easy.

You can easily make yourself more flexible at home. Make sure that you are not stretching out of nowhere. What I mean is, please warm up before you do it. Get your heart rate up for at least 5 minutes. This will warm up your muscles so that when you stretch, they will benefit a lot more from the stretching and stress you will put on them.

Once you are in the cheerleading program and have paid all of your expenses, you will automatically be enrolled in gymnastic classes this following summer. You can get your skills up during the summer and have so much fun. You should also be going to cheer camp, which is my favorite part of being a cheerleader.
