Stretch and get your splits. Learn how to do a toe touch. Do a cartwheel. And if you can do your splits, you need to learn high kicks.

You need to stretch your leg muscles for the splits. As far as flips go, try signing up to take a gymnastics class.

Stretch – Straddle, pike, wrists, back, ankles, arms, and splits.
What I did was I stretched every chance I got whether it was watching tv or doing homework and it really helped me.

Tumbling – I would take a tumbling class for the main reason that you should really have a spot. They will basically teach you what you need to know and as soon as you can do it by yourself just practice all the time.

Conditioning – Pilates!!! It actually helps. For stamina I ran about 6 miles a day and took a step class which really helped. I had a lifetime gym membership and they offered alot of conditioning classes so I took those and also what I had to do for gymnastics.

Jumps – Alls I can say is practice. Thats all you can really do for jumps and if your not getting them ask another cheerleader for help.

    Good Luck!
