I’m a cheerleader, but the other cheerleaders won’t accept me into their group. What should I do?

Question by MissMiserable: I’m a cheerleader, but the other cheerleaders won’t accept me into their group. What should I do?
I can’t just quit cheerleading, my mom has spent to much time and money, and plus I like the sport too much to consider quitting.
However, I’ve noticed that the other cheerleaders are blatantly excluding me, and they have been since I first started cheer, at the beginning of 9th grade. I’m in 10th now. Help me out, please?

you might be paying back a karmic debt. so just realize how it makes you feel to be left out and vow not to do it to any one….. forgive them ……. and learn your drills and moves well………….. and have patience with them…. and make sure you smell good and dont have bad breath.

I’m sorry they’re being stupid. There’s not much you can do until they stop being ignorant, which may take years. Could you bring it up to the coach, if you trust him/her? I know that when I had a problem with a guy in baseball that helped me alot. Good luck.

High school cliques are powerful things. I don’t think there is anything you can do to change them directly. Just be yourself, be nice, be friendly, do the best job you can do and above all else don’t allow them to bring you down or change you as a person.
