Question by Shawna: I need some fundrasing ideas for cheerleading uniforms for my team. Can anyone help?
My cheerleading team is wearing the same uniforms I wore when I went to the school….10 years ago and they were old then. We are a middle school team so we don’t have a budget. Its also a catholic school so any fundraising has to be appropriate for 5th to 8th graders (i.e. no car wash). They desperately need new uniforms can anyone think of anything to help me?

your team should hold a cute, short, talent show at your school
make it like $ 5 – $ 10??
it would be to save money for your uniforms,
and you should all cooperate to do different acts and such
just talk to your principal about it,
i’m sure it would help earn a lot of money (:

Sell candy.
You could sell hot dogs,chips, soda etc… Bake sales, donation buckets, or what me and my team did we have pig raffles ( we are from a hick town pretty much lol =]) and we would ask the meat shop for a donation (pig) and sell raffle tickets to win it and we get the money. Ohh a 50/50 raffle is a good idea to you have people buy tickets and and with the money from the tickets the winner gets half of that and you keep the rest.

You could try asking for donations from places like Walmart or Target, they don’t have to be big stuff, but it would help. If they don’t want to offer you anything more than a few dollars, then you could all chip in to buy a $ 20 gift card maybe? Then you could hold a raffle! If you go around your neighborhood and ask people if they would like to buy a raffle for $ 1 or $ 2 people would easily donate, then when you pick the winner, you can give them the prize, but if it’s not so much valuable, then give out about five or so. You could raise some money doing this! I hope I helped, and I’m sorry if this is hard to understand, I’m not good at English!
You could try getting boxes of candy for the girls to sell, those always go quickly. Also, contact a local chain restaurant. (i.e. Sonic, Avantis, Bobevans) depending where you live. Sometimes they can provide ”team nights” in which they agree to give a percentage of their sales to you for support. My team did that, we got at least $ 100/each ”team night”. Its a great way to raise money!
