Question by cat: How do you say cheerleading in spanish?
Hi, I’m wondering if anyone native spanish speakers or people who have studdied spanish know how to say “cheerleading”. I know the verb to cheer is animar and cheerleader is animadora, but how do you say cheerleading like in the phrase…”My cheerleading friends”.

    “My cheerleading friends” would be “Mi amig(a/o)s animador(a/o)s, depending on gender. This translates as “My cheerleader friends”.

    If I’m wrong, somebody please correct me, but I think that’s what one would say. =)

    animadora sounds right but i have also heard the word porrista to describe a cheerleader, in which case you would have to say “mis amigas porristas
