Do cheerleading routines? How can you make it if you don’t know what cheerleaders do.

Well to make a varsity team if it is for high school you will most likely need to be able to tumble. So you may want to take a tumbling class to improve on your tumbling skills. At some gyms they have open gym where you can go and tumble for a cheap price. Some gyms also have stunting classes where you learn how to base and fly, so you might want to consider that! Good Luck!

get videos or someone to teach you now so you will be able to know what you are doin before tryouts. that way at tryouts you can help out others by showing them what you already know. the coaches will see this and see you as a leader. but dont be to cocky. be more helpful.

Okay i will try my best to help, i try ed out for my teams squad but i hurt my knee doing something else so i couldn’t go back, but what we had to do well try practicing cartwheels, and the splits just parasites your balances. And also i dont know if you can do them but back flips and front flips but remember people even make the team even if you cant do most of the stuff or any of the stuff. The couches look for your facial espression and how you pick up the dances how fast you pick them up just look on youtube cheerleading dances and prctise them then you will get us to it, if you need to ask me anything else you can. Good luck ! and i hope you make the team ! =D

P.S Beileve in yourself, you can do anything you set your mind to, stay strong and dont give up.

Every cheer leading squad is different, but here are the essentials=

-You need good upper body strength!! Everything in chearleading requires some muscle, so if you don’t have any start working =]. You should do Push-ups / workout routines regularly. again, it depends what kind of cheer leading squad, but most involve standing on your hands, etc. You’ll need good upper body strength for that.

-A standard cartwheel! You’ll never find a cheerleader who can’t do a cartwheel. If you know how to do other flips/ standing on your hands, etc. that would be good too =] If you don’t know how to do these things maybe search it on youtube? I bet someone could help you out =]

-CHEER! every cheerleader needs cheer =]. When you go to tryouts just make sure you’ve got a smile on =].

Another good thing you could do is simply talk to the head cheerleader/ whoever is in charge of tryouts. If you don’t know who’s in charge, simply ask your secretary/someone at the office. I’m sure they’ll be able to tell you. Simply ask the person who’s in charge what is required at tryouts, etc.

Hope i helped =] Good Luck! God bless =]

The only person who can accurately answer that is the team coach. Find out if tumbling is required or preferred. If it is, you will want to sign up for a tumbling class; and nearly every day do tumbling drills, stretching and conditioning for strength, endurance and flexibility; and work on motions and jumps as well. This site will show you tips, pictures, and videos of how to do the basic cheering skills, and it will help you prepare for the actual day of tryouts: http://aescougarcheer.com/Cheer101/basics.htm

    Good luck. :^)

you need to smile, be loud, and be preppy(:
some basics are: toe-touch, hurkie, cartwheel, and roundoff.
    you can’t be fat eitherr(:
try to get in shape by running some every day.
    good luck:)

Learn most of the motions.[eg.clap,high v,low v,big t.broken t,table tops, buckets or candle sticks, and touchdown].Then, make those motions tight and sharp.practice them every day in order and make sure your arms do not look like noodles when doing those make sure your fists are facing the right way.You also need to work on your jumps.such as[pikes,toe-touches.left and right hurkies, hurdlers, and tucks.](i may have left some jumps out.)And tumbling. You at least have to know how to do a round-off,cartwheel,front roll, backwards roll, and maybe front handspring.make sure you point your toes in jumps and tumbling. In your dance routines you can just put motions together to music of your choice.Work on your strength because if you stunt you never know if you’ll be put as a flyer,back-spot,front-spot,or side-base.Look at some cheers at this website.make sure you tryout with a loud voice a smile and facials.; ]You may or may not need to know how to do a split and stuff.
