Do cheerleaders go everywhere in their cheerleading uniform?

Question by Stifle: Do cheerleaders go everywhere in their cheerleading uniform?
I live in Ireland, and cheerleading is basically nonexistent here. I was watching Glee, and it appears that the cheerleaders go around the school wearing their cheerleader uniform. Do cheerleaders in real schools do that, or is it just Glee trying to save money on costumes?

I’m a cheerleader and the only times we wear our uniforms are at games, competitions, and pep rallies.

    I am a cheerleader, and we aren’t allowed to wear our uniforms outside of games and competitions. If one of the cheerleaders get caught in her uniform at parties or in “compromising” situations they will most likely be kicked off the squad. Hope I answered your question.
