@jasiebabee: You may already know this…The “stomp and Shake” is a common Historically Black College style of cheer leading, which is especially popular in the south. We draw from our West African heritage, which involves stomping, shaking, and the like. Unfortunately, this style is frowned upon by those who cannot identify with our culture and heritage. So you definitely see the influence of stepping in this type of cheering.

sooooo are they cheerleaders, a step team, majorettes, a sorority, or what?! im totally confused… all i saw was a shaking & barking.

i see why they didnt get picked.. looks like they love what they do though!

love it, i went to a mostly white high school, but to college at a hbcu…i cheered at both. I will say this,if they used a traditional cheerleading coach as a judge, i know why cheer phi didnt get picked…transition to mounts, cant understand what they are saying, their builds are very basic, no flying, hardly any tumbling, looked more like dancing and stepping. (look up marple newtown high school cheeleaders)this is what were taught from like 5yrs old,its wut they wanted! still keep it up!:-)

People who leave negative comments for this video are just jealous because they can’t move like these people do.
