Question by pharmakon: What is the difference between “model pretty” and “cheerleader or pageant” beauty?
Sometimes I watch America’s Next Top Model, and the judges (especially Nigel Barker) might say “she’s pretty but she’s more cheerleader pretty, not model pretty”

I think cheerleader pretty is just a really pretty girl. A model pretty is a pretty girl with some slightly exaggerated features (like really big eyes and pronounced cheekbones).

model pretty – diffrent looking (unique), tall, slender, usually smaller chest, required to have natural looking hair and makeup.
cheerleader/pageant pretty – usually the same, usually tan, curvy, hair can be highlighted, and since theyre usually far away or on stage, more makeup.

When someone is model pretty, it means they’re tall, lean, a symmetrical face, and usually very unique and sometimes “alien” looking. They’re not the typical beauty that you see everyday, but they’re still beautiful. Cheerleader pretty is someone who is just typically pretty, like they all look alike: blonde, tan, and pretty. Think of this comparison: Gemma Ward vs. Carmen Electra. Both pretty women, but gemma has more of an odd and strange appearance: wide set eyes, a button nose, and long lips, while Carmen has a typical pretty face: high cheekbones, tan, etc.
Cheerleader pretty is like the all American girl pretty.
Model pretty, she more than likely has something unique about her. Skin tone, height, facial features…
Cheerleader pretty is a pretty girl… but a girl who if you spend enough time at the mall you can see 50 more of. She has appeal and a nice face but she doesn’t pop or make you remember her. Model pretty may be someone who isn’t conventionally gorgeous but has a uniqueness that people are drawn to. She’s a one-of-a-kind in a way. AKA, what the fashion world wants.
Model pretty is like unique pretty. Like a striking jawline or cheekbones.
And naturally tall and thin. Not neccesarily mainstream pretty.
Cheerleader pretty is like, cute features, curvy, like just generic pretty.
Pageant pretty is really exaggerated. Tons of makeup, fake hair, most probably are just normal under all that stuff.
cheerleader/pageant pretty is the type of girls with lots of makeup that are all bubbly and cute type of pretty nothing on there face is really unique or amazing but they still look cute.

model pretty there face is very exaggerated perfect face structure high cheek bones nicely set eyes big lips proportioned nose. etc.

I think “cheerleader” pretty is more the All-American Girl next door type look…”model” pretty is a more exotic look..something you dont see all the time..more of a look w/ an edge to it.
model pretty is tall skinney flawless beauty while cheerleader pageant girls are just skinney and pretty faced also models wear more elegant clothing and cheer pageant girls wear more abercrombie hollister.
