My mom doesn’t want me to start cheerleading but I want to. What are some negative points of it that she might bring up, and what are some positive points I can use as a rebuttle?

negative is that she may think that cheerleading is that stereotype blonde bimbo’s kinda thing…where all the jocks want to get in your pants…but you should just explain to her that its not like that anymore….it is a very very very good workout..you will most likly loose weight and you will gain a lot of muscle…it will def tone your body…these days cheerleading is soo safe you don’t need to worry about getting hurt…if you really love it you should just explain to you mom how much you really really really want to try it…and heck tell her if you don’t like it then you will quit…but if it is something that is important to you then she should let you do it even if she doesn’t think you should 🙂

good luck 🙂

    Cons+Rebuddles
Time consuming- if it interferes with school work you’ll drop cheerleading (just say it even if you don’t mean it)
Dangerous- you’ll make sure that you’re not a flyer
Stereotypes- stereotypes aren’t always true and that as a mother she should know whether her daughter would turn into that kind of a person (say that you’re insulted that she’d even consider that possiblity; it’ll make her feel guilty)
Expensive- say you’ll pay for part of it if it becomes too expensive
Stressful- say you know your limits and you’ll stop if it becomes too stressful

    Pros
    Excellent excercise
    Teaches commitment and teamwork
    Counts as extracurricular stuff
Teaches about how much of a difference hard work will make
    Really fun
Responsibility such as remembering routines, practices, etc.
