The real intense tryouts don’t start till high school. You should focus on being loud, enthusiastic, tight movements and experienced jumps. Tumbling is good but I’m sure its not required. Good Luck!

I tried out for my Middle School’s cheering squad when I was in 5th grade, I made it but I quit cause it sucked. It didnt even compare to the other squads I’d cheered for. But you basicaly need a kartwheel or forward roll, they’re not really into tumbling in middle school. You should have some basic stuting skills, cheer loud and have tight motions, and make sure you have good facials (:

*Clap with your elbows together, that should get you some points. Thats a big thing with All Star cheering squads.*

Okay, I’ve been cheering since i was only 3 years old. Some intermediate moves are….

    *Toe touch Jump
    *Hurkie Jump
    *Left K
    *Right K
    *High V
    *Low V
    *Daggers
    *Touch Down
    *T
    *Broken T
    *Pike Jump
    *Tuck Jump
    *Spread Eagle Jump
    *T Jump
    *Pencil Jump
P.S. Before you try out make sure you stretch so you can gain flexibility, like your split is very impotent. Also try going to a gymnastics place to learn some basic tumbling. Good Luck:)
