Question by Diamond: What does it takes to become a cheerleader?
Im starting my freshman year and i want to become a cheerleader
I don’t want to become a cheerleader because i think it cool or what not
i just want to be involved in a sport that i like and that has dancing anyways
I can do front flips,cart wheels, etc but i cant do back flips D:

U need your basic jumps!
Toe touches, herkies, hurdler
You need to be LOUD. Don’t like scream or be screachy but you need to be loud. Yell from your diaphram.
You need to execute your motions sharply and neatly.
DONT BE SLOPPY
Cheerleading isn’t easy it takes alot of work. It’s not all jumping around and being peppy and dancing, We have a hard workout push ups, tricep push ups, lunges, crunches, side crunchs, running a mile several times a week, etc.

Well I’m not a cheerleader but I love to dance. I know cheerleaders in High School usually have to be able to do High Kicks, a Hurky, and many more things like smiling all the time. Always have your hands straight too, thats what the coaches are looking for. Also have a positive attitude with a smiley face.
Have good form on jumps but although the judges say they’ll judge form not height
they are lying!!!The first yeat I tried out for school cheer thats what they had said but
I got a 4/5 for jumps and my arms weren’t even in the right place it was in a super low T.

Dancing skills will help but you have to be stiff.(:
