What do you need to be qualified to coach cheerleading for a team that cheers for football? The ages range from 5th grade to 8th. Do you need to be a certain age? What do you need to be qualified?

our coach is in her 3rd year of college and has told us many times her team took 2nd at nationals
so im guessing you need experience and time to fit practices and things in
she also coaches our basketball football and competition squad so if you do it for school you will have to do all three

I believe it’s age 21 and up. Also experience knowing what you are doing would be necessary so no one gets hurt.
To be qualified, you just have to have tons of experience. I would recommend getting certified (AACCA or some other cheerleading certification) and getting CPR/ First Aid certified.
To have some experiance(Can’t just go in there,knowing nothing and expect the cheerleaders to teach themselves.). My sister started coaching around 16. To become certified, She did this thing in Cheer Camp(Don’t ask me what it was.), When she took our team to cheer camp.
