Question by .:Tara:.:H:.: How can I get more flexible before cheerleading season?
Cheerleading season starts in the end of fall, I want to be able to do the splits by then and flips and stuff, plz, i really want to be lead cheerleader. I’m willing to do anything to get that flexible, if you think something will whip me into shape tell me, I am not flexible like, at all right now, but i have until the end of fall, plz, help me! try pilates and yoga, get the tapes and spend atleast an hour or two a night streaching. Dont over streach though

    martial arts should help you limber up, take a self defense class until then, and try stretching for a 1/2 hours 3 of 4 times a day.

    You might want to try Yoga. For splits- do a split- and while still in the split sit down gently, keeping legs apart lift one of your legs and cross it over the other one- following it with the rest of your body, you’ll end up facing the other way still in a split and your hands on the floor in front of you, go down as far as you can in the split, then repeat. You need a good bit of space for this- in the yard probably. Basically, you just keep rolling , staying in a split and going down a little more each time. This was amazingly comfortable for me to do and achieve both a side and front split.
