Question by Elle: How to become a better cheerleader?
I would say im an okay cheerleader. I have never done competition this is for my school. I can do the basics kart-wheel, round-off, back-bend, and handstand. I am going to go to tumbling lessons to get my back hand-sprang. I have done cheer since ive been in kinder-garden and its my passion. I need to be more flexible on how to get my split,toe touch, pike, herkey, and hurdler. Please help me this is my life.

just every day stretch a little bit and work on your jumps and practice things u have learned and in the long run it helps a lot and doing that tumbling class is a good idea cuz it will help 🙂
stretch in the morning and at night for flexibility
Stretch whenever you can! While watching tv, doing homework, etc.
Split:
Stay in the splits while you do your homework.
Get in straddle position and lay your stomach flat down in between your legs.
Toe Touch:
If you have a tramp do as many in a row as you can. keep going.
put your butt against a wall and spread your legs apart and get two friends to push your legs down.
Pike:
Do a pike stretch while watching tv.
grab your feet with your hands and hold for 15 seconds at a time.
Hurkey/hurdler:
Take one leg (which ever leg you hurkey with) and grab your foot with your hand as in pike stretch.
Do a million in a row on the tramp.

Stretch every morning and night. practice jumping on a trampoline.
Remember, pointing ur toes and not looking on the floor helps u make ur jumps higher. remember, practice makes better=]
