Question by Figskater: How do I become a cheerleader in middle school?
I will be going to middle school next year. I can almost do a scorpion. I can do a cartwheel, back bend, bridge, round off, toe touches, herkies, and splits. Tell me what to expect and if I can make it. Also tell me how to do a handstand besides the wall. I have trouble balancing my feet.

I was a cheerleader in 7th and 8th grade and all I can recommend to you is try a cheer tumble class because one of the most important things is a back handspring and if you can learn to do that, you’ll be almost guaranteed a spot. Otherwise, the stuff you can do is really good! As for what to expect, it really depends on the level of what your squad will do. My squad went to 3 competitions per year and we cheered for basketball. Cheering is so much fun you’ll love it! Hope this helped!
