Question by me: Do you have to have previous experience to be a cheerleader for a state college?
A state college such as ASU or USC. If you didn’t do cheer in middle or high school can you still be a cheerleader in college?

It’s possible, but the chances of that are very slim.

It depends on the school. Some places anyone can participate and others there are very strict requirements concerning skills you should have mastered before arriving.
Go to the cheering pages for the schools you are interested in. Most of them have a list of requirements for tryouts or an email address that you can use to find that information out.
