    Cheer is sport! Sport is defined as organized, competitive and require skillful physical activities. It is governed by a set of rules in which a winner can be declared by objective means. You can find these definitions on Wikipedia and encyclopedia. They are great references for any debate. Gymnastic and figure skating are also sports. You can read about them in your library or newspaper in the sport section. All three meets all the requirement. Thumbs up if you agree cheer is sport!

    I dont think you can make a definition of sport! – But if you have to devide physical activity into groups, and not consider if its elite or amateur i would make 3 groups, and i will not call any of them sport, for now!
    Games like football and golf.
    races like formula1 and 40 yard dash.
    recreative physical activity like cheerleading and gymnastics and figur skating.
    They are all physical activities! They are alle though! But how you win is so different in these 3 groups.

    Im not happy until someone give me a good arguement, why cheerleading is a sport! It can not be: BECAUSE IT IS – or because it is hard, difficult, and dangerous – or because the definition is: Sport is a physical activity!
    If you cant give me that, stop replying! If you can but dont my answer back, stop replying! If you can and you want a debate, i would be happy to here you arguements!
    I care cause i think cheer is amazing. But i dont think it is a sport like Football!

    @SirHeinrich1 Ok, you think cheerleading is not a sport. The rest of us do. Now, lets go on with our lives with our own opinions and lets ALL shut up. Because, apparently, this arguement could go on forever without anyone thinking differently. Is that easy to write back to? Won’t you be able to say, “Okay” ? Or will you be as crazy as to continue this lousy arguement? So I say we stop this and just… be quiet. Ok?

  7. SirHeinrich1

    @justkmeh
    What is my arguements? That if cheerleading is a sport, based on a definition found somewhere on the internet, then other thing is a sport to, based on the same definition!? I dont see why thats a lousy arguement! What else would you want me to say? That the definition say you have to find a winner by objective means, and a cheerleading judge is not objective!?
    – Then you will write back: Yes he is with capital letters, and what am i then supposed to say?

    @Kayla6180 Ok, first hint: Don’t take any hints from @SirHeinrich1. Thats the best hint i can give you so far since i’ve never been a cheerleader.

    @georgiaandsophie101
    Yeah, it looks awful dosnt it. What are you – a teacher?
    I got here because i wanted to see some arguements on why someone thinks cheerleading is a sport! But it looks like there is only 3 arguements, and they all suck! So i figured, if i made you realise how lousy your arguements was, you would come up with something new!

  10. georgiaandsophie101

    @SirHeinrich1 There is no difference. Cheerleading is really hard and you really need to relearn grammar because I couldn’t understand what you were saying and if you don’t think cheerleading is a sport I have a question for you. Why did you even watch this video? To prove a point? No one thinks you’re right. Stop trying to push everyone down and get over the fact that cheerleading is a sport and all you see is the superficial part of it.

    @justkmeh
    Almost, every job in the world is competitive, skillful, and a race for some kind of reward! So is love, but will you call this a sport too?
    And, i have newer said cheerleading was for amateurs! I know that what you do takes a great effort to learn! I dont hate cheerleaders! I hate lousy argumentation =)

  12. SirHeinrich1

    @georgiaandsophie101
    Well im the exeption of that rule then, cause i newer aplied for a cheerleading squad! But was has that to do with wether or not it is a sport?
    I think no, because the winner is found the same way as in beauty contest, song contest and so on! It is more like art than sport, maybe you like it, maybe you dont! Its not because i want to criticise, but because i want people to see that there is a difference!

    @SirHeinrich1 Maybe Wiki ISN’T based on facts but cheerleading is a sport for so many reasons. Its competitive, skillful, and plays for trophies, such as other sports do. And you are a cheer hater. You would of have let us go and stopped replying to our comments and let us have thought what we thought (and know) is the truth. But you keep replying and telling us its not a sport and won’t let go of the subject trying to tell us Cheerleading is just for Amateurs and not a sport.
