@camaro76 that might be true but go look up the definition; and cheer leading meets everyone of the criteria

@CharliesAngelsAMMKD chainsaw juggling is harder than football too, but that’s not a sport either.

@camaro76 you dont need to be able to dance to be a cheerleader, dance is like 1 10th of your routine, i’v had a guy admit to my team that cheerleading is harder then football

@camaro76 umm not at all i’d like to see you and everyone else do what cheerleaders do and have to go through

@CharliesAngelsAMMKD then its just like figure skating. its called a sport just to make the people who figure skate feel better.

@camaro76 thats where your wrong, just like every sport cheer leading has its divisions based on age then based on skill level and for each aged skill level theres a different set of rules that have to be followed for you end up doing something illegal and lose points or just lose in general, and the winner is not based of a matter of opinion its based on if you can meet the required skills and do them nicely that decides if you score high or low in each category

@CharliesAngelsAMMKD that’s why i don’t believe its a sport. how are the rules of a cheerleading tournament any different from the rules of a dance tournament? in football you either made the touchdown or you didn’t. in basketball you either made the shot or you didn’t. it seems like cheerleading is in a gray area. the winner is a matter of opinion.

@camaro76 no its doesn’t work like that there are competitions every month around the world, and yes you can very much score a “point” you can score a “point” for every element you do in certain categories, and yes a team competes and waits and WATCHES the other teams that their against or other teams from other devisions, you see your competitor alllllll the time; if its seeing them in the warm-up gym or on the competition mat!!!!!! so yes it is a sport no doubt about it!

@CharliesAngelsAMMKD im not saying it doesent require strength, balance etc. but i would certainly hesitate to call it a sport. there is no definitive way to score a point. it is all left to the judges. it just isnt as competitive either. one team does their cheer and leaves, and the other team does their cheer and leaves. you might not even see your competitor.

@fenderboy2012 a federal judge said it isnt a sport under title 9, not in general. Also, im a high school wrestler and an allstar cheerleader and I get hurt wayyyyy more in cheer then I do at wrestling.

okay i cheerlead and i don’t EVER think someone would let a top hit the ground like that.. you’d catch her and slow down the force, if i dropped my top like that, i would never live with myself.. but at 3:54 GO COBRAS! (:

@camaro76 umm cheerleading is as much of a sport then every other sport! yes theres dance but i’m pretty sure lifting and throwing girls in the air is not dance and i would know since i’ve cheered for 8 years and counting

  13. djpuffycube

a cheerleader would never land like that, at the least they would i try to catch it and slow it down a fuckload

For one, Cheerleading is not a sport. A federal judge ruled that it is not a sport. Also, nobody falls like that. Way more injuries happen in HIGH SCHOOL wrestling then in any other sport cause people get hit like the dummy and there is no padding at all…
