the best shoes to wear if you dont want cheer shoes would be any plain white nike’s with little to no bumps and grooves on the bottom. it makes it easier for stunting and jumping.

cheerleading shoes are lighter and the bottoms are smooth and easy for bases to lift the flyer and are easier for tumbling. a girl i cheered with would tumble in these solid white new balance tennis shoes that kinda look like cheer shoes but i suggest u buy some cheer shoes because most places you have to try out in them

most regular casual shoes do not have arches in them. cheer shoes have arch support and are designed differently on the bottom for stunting. instead of wearing actual cheer shoes, you could also get any sports shoe. They both have a good hold on your foot and have arch supprt.
Walking/running shoes would be recommended. Some popular brands of sports shoes are new balance, easy spirit, nike, and asics. Cheer shoes and exercise shoes are both more comfortable than regular shoes like vans, pumas and flip flops in my opinion, and they will lower your foot pain and preserve your arches in the long run so you wont have problems later in life.

cheer shoes are complex =] they usually have a combination synthetic/leather upper for both exceptional support and long-lasting durability with internal flex grooves for enhanced flexibility. Most give you the option of interchangeable team color cards and they’re comfy. They’re lightweight for stunting and tumbling, which comes in handy for competition/high school cheer, and the traction on the bottom is ideal for both as well

Cheerleading shoes are made and geared towards all the tricks, stunts and tumbling that is involved with cheerleading. Most cheerleading shoes nowadays are so light weight, you forget you have them on. They provide great ankle support for tumblers and flyers and they are light which also makes for easier, higher and more technically correct jumps.

While you can definitely cheer with regular tennis shoes, you put yourself at a disadvantage. because while you’re trying to to a triple toe touch tuck with a 5 pound shoe, your competitor has a light weight shoe and doesn’t have to put in as much effort to raise those feet up. If you were going to go with just a regular shoe, I would definitely have to recommend Reebok High Top shoes. I don’t know the exact name but check the link i gave you. These will offer you good ankle support for those tumbling passes and jumps! But trust it’s in your best interest to invest in some cheerleading shoes.

    Hope this helps 😉
