i have no experience, and am going to be a senior( 2010), so if i try out, i HAVE to try out for varsity.I have a lot of spirit though! anything iIshould learn?????? my school sucks-the cheer squad DOES NOT throw cheerleaders in the air, or flip, or backflips, just dance and toe touches, and go through motions.

oh ho ho ho no! no no no. you need experience with gymnastics to be a cheerleader. you need a LOT of flexibility!

I need to learn how to do it by the week of the 31st. I only need 2.
I tried a tow touch but I can never remember to keep my toes pointed and its not very high. How can I get that higher (I know to stretch but what stretches) Also what wuld be another easy one to learn
I know its not going to be easy but I want one thats meant for beginners not something super advanced. I will practice every night for hours until I get it right.

ok well i think everyone will agree when i say hurkeys are the easiest jumps. try those. but you have to remember, its all about technique! point toes, land with feet together, be sharp, be loud, and bend your knees a little when you get down from jumping. lift yourself up with your shoulders because you have to have good arm muscles to get a high jump.

Hmmm it depends on what you can do but as a judge.. i like and look for clean skills that can be hit 10 of ten times.. however i can tell when talented teams and stunt groups play it too safe… if you are doing stretch fulls at games and then for comp you do prep full downs is not a help but a hurt. as long as you are safe and understand what you are doing.. push the envelope.. so what can you do? look for creative entries and exits out of your stunts.. and smooth combos… use your show and goes to straddles or splitz or shot gun cradles to reloads to one foot up to libs etc.. its hard to say what too do if i dont know where you are starting from.. but great luck!! and be safe!!!
