Is eight months enough to train for cheerleading?

Question by Sunshine: Is eight months enough to train for cheerleading?
I’m pretty chubby, and wayy out of shape. I can barely do a cartwheel, but I want to make my schools varsity cheerleading squad next year (I’m too old to do junior varsity). I have to have a round-off, scorpion, heelstretch, full lib, back handspring, back tuck, and round-off-back handspring-back tuck layout. I’m going to start in January and cheerleading tryouts are at the end of august. Is that enough time?
