It is popular to a certain degree. Being that you’d be popular with most likely jock type people. It certainly does not grant you to be popular with the entire school.

Q&A: What qualifies a cheerleading team to be considered “all-star”? ?

Question by Desired P: What qualifies a cheerleading team to be considered “all-star”? ?
What is the definition of an “all-star” cheerleading team? Are there different levels? Is there some sort of qualification system that is universally used? Thank You.

Best answer:

Answer by Kelly W
Yes there are different levels of all star cheerleading. Although its mostly just age levels. Basically all stars do not ‘cheer’ like a highschool cheerleading team cheers. They stunt alot, dance, and tumble a lot. Also the do not have restrictions in all stars as to what you can and can not do during stunts and tumbling, like a high school cheerleading team would have. Highschool cheerleading has rules and regulations set up by the state that you must follow during stunting and tumbling.

Q&A: Why is cheerleading not considered a sport to some people?

Question by secret hello: Why is cheerleading not considered a sport to some people?
Why is cheerleading not considered a sport? It is just as hard at football or water polo. Why don’t they try doing back handsprings and lifting people? Darts is considered a sport but cheer isn’t on the sports list? That’s not right

How many of you think that cheerleading should be considered a sport?

Question by Cheergirl…Go Falcons!!: How many of you think that cheerleading should be considered a sport?
It makes me mad that no one thinks that it is a sport but they consider pool to be a sport. Excuse me but in pool all you do is push a ball into holes with a stupid stick. In cheerleading you get thrown 10 feet inn the air and brake bones, lose you voice, and there have even been events where girls had died!!!!! It reall does make me mad about it. I also think that gymnastics should be consider a sport. It is almost just as worse in other ways!!!

I enjoy it as a spectator sport. And I guess if twirling, bowling, golf, and pool can make the cut, why not cheerleading?

U-GO, gurl!
