Question by cheer1423rox: How do you carry your weight in cheerleading?
I am a base in cheerleading, but my stunt group is short. I am 4’9”, my other base is about that height, too, maybe a little taller, and my flyer is like 4’2”, well, you get the point. But, I think that next season, I might be flyer, and i have been flyer only a few times, not for a season. But, they say to carry your weight when you are flyer, how exactly do you do that?

you squeeze your shoulders and try to make yourself as light as possible…(its kind of a hard concept to grasp, you just kinda get up there and do it) and you raise your chest/shoulders as much as possible (without looking silly) and tense up every muscle in your entire body so you are really easy to fly and stay as tight as possible.
