Do you want more hip hop appeal or more rock or techno? Do you guys have a certain theme you go by? Are you mixing it yourself? I make music for competitive cheerleaders, I’m not sure about school cheer….it depends.

Girls Just Want To Have Fun
    Mickey
    Picture To Burn
    Our Song
I’m Only Me When I’m With You
Jonas Brothers (i.e. Burnin Up, Play My Music, SOS, Still In Love With You, Just Friends)
    Car Wash
    The Whistle Song
    Brown Eyed Girl
    Do You Belive In Magic

Well it definately has to be a mix of songs (slower for stunting, faster for dancing, etc.)
I LOVE it when teams do “themes” to their mixes.
Also, judges really like it if you incorporate older classic songs.
For example my team did a “la la” theme a few years ago when Ashlee Simpson’s “la la” song came out and we mixed that with Brown Eyed Girl and everyone loved it.
Another example is a “magic” theme I saw way back when “magic stick” came out and they mixed that with the classic “do you believe in magic?” and “magic carpet ride”
    Good luck!
P.S. stay away from those songs like hey mickey that others have suggested…judges won’t like it, nor will the squad who has to listen to it for hours everyday!

I’ve tried to come up with a list that many others wouldn’t think of to use so you team will look more creative.

Wait A Minute – Pussycat Dolls
    Beat it – Michal Jackson
    It’s On – Superchick
One Step At a Time – Jordan Sparks
Burnin Up – Jonas Brothers (anything in this song would be good)
Headlock – Imogen Heap (The refrain could be really cool if placed right)
    With Love – Hilary Duff

    Hope this helps you out.

Pump It by the Black Eyed Peas
any dancy 80s song works (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Rio)
Move Shake Drop Remix by DJ Laz

as long as it is something with a fast beat, it will work.
you can also use any song and add your own fast paced beat in the back if you have a music editing program like garage band (which comes with most macs) or acid pro.
